Patents and Pilsners Hangover

For those who decided to venture forth to Venturef0rth for “Patents and Pilsners,” you now know the ins and outs of what it takes to get your goods protected. While I’m not going to go into a full spiel of what went down, I’ll tell you this. That Mike Dunnam of Woodcock Washburn has officially allowed me, a simple minded fellow, to understand the basics of intellectual property law.

I think the most enlightening part of the evening for the developers in the audience (and those who have purchased development) was when Mike covered how IP created as a work for hire really still remains the property of the developer, unless otherwise stated. So, you’re saying every time I bought a development project it wasn’t really mine? Scary stuff (depending on which side of the fence you’re on).

Anywho, another solid crew of early stage super heroes came together to learn the good stuff from a great speaker. Thanks again to Mike Dunnam for gracing planet Early Stage(tm). Or is is (r)?
